I am not a genius.
The 'Arts' born from talent and hard work are fruits that blossom from enriched souls.
I once lived at 6870 Olalla Canyon Road. There was an old mobile home. A foundation for a future house that never saw its birth. And two acres of playground for my brother and I.
My dad had either both of us, or himself, move the 8 foot aluminum irrigation pipes to the next position to be watered. The sprinklers went around in intervals. If you were bored and lonely, you might hear the steady beat of a base line to music. Similar to the beat of a drum.
Even the older dryer we had made a similar sound and beat as the the clothes fell against the bottom, only to be flung up over and over.
As a small child, when mom, dad and my older brother weren't home, I would sing or hum what ever came to mind. My voice isn't an angel's. Those were fun times.
Once I sang out loud and some birds settled around me. It felt like I was one of those characters from a Disney movie. A bit embarrassed and a tad precocious..., a simple young lad with out the experience of very many genres of music.
I love classical music. Classical music and religious music were all I had heard by ear as a small bean sprout.
Later in life I found japanese anime. There are many talented musicians. The artists and musicians showed and let me see and hear their compositions.
Beauty can be seen, heard, tasted, felt and smelt.
Our lives are touched by the talents and hard work of those people that devote their lives to their respective 'Arts'.
Thank you for your love and support of the 'Arts'.
